I'm SO Done

It's official...I'm done with winter. Done. Done. Done.

My car wouldn't start this morning because it was so bloody cold out. I dinked around with it for twenty-five minutes, finally got it started and drove the boys to school on crappy roads. They weren't nearly as bad as yesterday, but they were still icy and yucky. It took me 50 minutes to make a 10 minute drive and the way home was worse.

I want sunshine...and new grass. Grape hyacinths and lilacs. Thunderstorms instead of blizzards. Sigh...today, we're under another winter weather advisory...translation - 6-12 inches of fresh snow. Grr Argh.

In other news...we have a winner from yesterday's contest at the Ellora's Cave chat loop. lrwirum wins a copy of one of my EC books - her choice. So lrwirum, please email me at bronwyn@bronwyngreen.com and let me know which book you'd like and in what format. Congratulations! And thank you to all of you who entered!

Actually, people who drove yesterday morning and this morning have been complaining that today they were worse. Go figure. Anyhow, I'm starting a list of reasons why I will never buy a Kia. The doors froze this morning...as did the gear shift. It sucked.

Winter for us in Brizzie is proably like Autumn for you - we freeze and complain and yet I remember winter in London so I know we cannot complain here.

Hey Bron...what say you we fire up the private jet, grab our laptops, Brynn, Dakota, and whoever else wants to come along, and high-tail it to ARUBA? Hahahaha...

We need to get the kind of grass that doesn't have to be mowed, though.

You know. The kind with goats living on it.

Also, the roads were worse today, because they threw all that salt down, so the snow melted, then it froze back up and there is MORE of it. True story.

Snow! Yikes! You know if any of that white stuff falls in the south, schools are immediately closed. Its a tough life. grin.

Welcome to February, the longest month of the year. Sure, the calendar says it's the shortest, but we know better.

My kids have a snow day today. Welcome to the longest DAY of the year.

Well, finally, Me. We were waiting for you to call the season quits before we could do anything. Sigh. So you're sure, now? You're done? Cause once I take it away, I'm not bringing it back for another year. Just so you know.

Believe me,I know how you feel. We got 10" dumped on us last night. My boyfriend (who lives in Canada)is dealing with roads being shut down and two jack knifed trucks and one armored truck that hit the median...lol. I can't believe I'm looking forward to living there some day.
