The Naughtiest Kitties Ever

Willow and Morrighan are thrilled that the holidays are here. This means their favorite jungle gym is back in the living room and available for their climbing pleasure.

Willow gnawing on the branches...nothing says Happy Holidays like a little cat drool.

Willow contemplating the best way to get to the star at the top.

Morrighan joining her sister on the next branch up.

No fragile ornaments on the tree this year...

Willow's all tuckered out from her epic climb. She actually slept in the tree the first night it was up.

So do you have it attached to the ceiling or the wall to keep it upright? :)

Bronwyn Green said...

Usually, we attach it to the ceiling, but we got a new tree, and it's much sturdier than the old one, so it's stayed up really well - even when they chase each other up and down it.

Do you look for the cat safe seal of approval or something?! ;)

Bronwyn Green said...

We shake the display trees really hard. ;)

I think a really good mommy would leave that tree up all year long for their climbing pleasure. Just sayin'...

Funny, Carol. Corwin said something similar. :) It's soooooooooo not happening.

you are sooooo FUN! I love it!

I'm with Carol here. A year round indoor tree sounds like just the thing. *G*

Yup - expecting the same at our house this year. No ornaments. Not puppy-proof! Cute pics!

Loved the pics....they are soooo cute. I remember the first year we had a tree up with my poor kitty I lost last year. She clear it of all of the balls on it within the first 15 minutes....then a couple of the ornaments were wrapped in satin thread, which she proceeded to unravel....all over the house....lol

I love your kitties. They are so much fun. And I totally agree with those who've said they should get a tree all year round. At least you'd know where they were. :)

Just looked at the fourth picture down. The snowflake over the cats head makes her look like and angel. It's just as well that she doesn't have wings to go with it right? :D

Sal said...

Ok so I got it wrong. It's a dragon! Sorry :( The comment still stands tho. :)

@ Jase - Awwww, thanks hon! They just make me laugh - I can't help but encourage their bad behavior - lol.

@ Jude - I'm not sure I could handle an entire year of this. :D

@ Julia - Will there be holiday puppy pics, I hope? :)

@ Kevin - I'm so sorry about your kitty. *hugs* I'm glad you have so many good memories of her.

@ Sal - I thought the same thing about the ornament looking like a halo! And she's sooooooooooo far from an angel! And I'm SO glad she doesn't have wings - angel *or* dragon! I'd really be in trouble then! (Well, you know...more so than I already am.)

Those kitties are just too cute!

Okay, I have four of the little cuters and they don't seem to have it in their head to climb anything, though we'll see. Last year they were still little so maybe with a year under their belt, they'll figure it out. Here's hoping my malamute doesn't decide to join them.

Love your kitties, hon. They are awesome.

And I am dreading putting up my tree with two just-out-of-knickers kittens in my house. This will be their first Christmas, so I am planning to put ONLY lights on the tree, and save my glass antique ornaments from utter destruction.

I keep my handy-dandy long-distance spray bottle of vinegar water at my side at all times. I have ALMOST got the little debils trained to stay off my knick-knack shelves and off my kitchen counters and dining table. They have free run of the main portion of the house as long as they stay off the food surfaces and out of my antique shelves. GRRRRR.

The cute! You haz it.

I must have a strange cat. He has never climbed in the tree. He only gnaws on the bottom branches and sleeps on the tree skirt. My sister's cats climb in hers though. LOL.

Cute pictures!

Love the Pics! :) I have some from last year with our terrors in it and they look almost like your kitties too lol. We got a real tree this year and they can't quiet get up into it as easy lol. But they aren't giving up!

@ Lucia - Thank you! We think they're pretty freaking adorable, too!

@ Kris - If Bandit ends up in your tree, somebody better be on hand with a camera!!!

@ Fran - I definitely kept all my antique ornaments in the box this year!

@ Margaret - I do haz teh cute!!! :D

@ Sidney - Or maybe your cat is just well-behaved. :)

@ Jane - Thanks! And yay! More tree climbing kitties! I'm glad mine aren't the only little terrors out there.

Absolutely adorable! Such great pics! Thanks for sharing. :)

Those pictures are wonderful. Reminds me of our outdoor cat with her pretty face. I read somewhere that outdoor cats only have a third of the lifespan of indoor cats, so Lily became an indoor cat again. So far she's behaving really well. Funny thing-I'm not a cat lover, so why am I surrounded by three cats and a naughty shih tzu? They make life fun, don't they? Peg

So in their eyes, Christmas came early and sticks around for an entire month? Cool...

Oreo has inspected the tree, swatted at the soft ornaments at the bottom, and then pretty much ignores it now.

The puppy on the other hand has made several trips around the tree. I made sure no breakables went on it this year, in case her enthusiasm knocks it over (we're pretty sure her tail ought to be on the 'lethal weapon' list, ha ha!)

Bronwyn Green said...

@ Saskia - Thanks!!! I think they're pretty adorable, too. :D

@ Temple - Awwww...I'm glad Lily's back inside and you're surrounded by cuteness. :)

@ Molly - You should post puppy and tree pics! :)

Simone Anderson said...

Naughty and adorable. I'm hoping mine doesn't follow suit and hang from the tree.

Sal said...

Can I please use the pic of your sleeping cat as a xmas Icon? It is so cute! :D

Bronwyn Green said...

@ Simone - LOL - Good luck with that! :D

@ Sal - Absolutely! :D

Becca Love said...

Haaa! Your kitties are so cute! All the same, I'm glad that my cats are fat and lazy. The most they do is fight for control of the christmas tree skirt and occasionally play with the low hanging ornaments.

The ASPCA is going to be on your butt for using live animals as ornaments.

HAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!
Just kidding!
