Thing One has a 101 degree fever and Thing Two's fever is down from 105 to 102. So needless to say, we're all lying around like big lumps. Anyway, Thing One got the brilliant idea to watch the Transformers movie. Having absolutely no will power, I got sucked into the movie. You know what? I can't believe I'm about to say this, but it's really pretty good. The goals, motivation and conflict are all there, there's some decent character development and the dialogue is downright enjoyable.
Now, it could be that the plague has interfered with my ability to discern a good movie from a bad one, but I don't think so. However, I'm unwilling to test this theory by watching Mariah Carey's Glitter. That's a road I'm unable to travel - even for the advancement of science.
So what about you guys, have any movies surprised you by being much better (or worse) than you expected?

One of my all time fave movies is on TV today - 'The Philadelphia Story.' It is classic romance. 'Can't think of a movie that disappointed me but I will put this out there and wait for the howls of protest. The most disppointing and boring stage show I ever saw was 'Cats'. What is the point of that show?
Ooh! (geek alert) I am dying to see that movie. Firstly, I grew up watching the cartoon with my younger cousins who were addicted. Secondly, my boyfriend Shayla Lebouoouufujfifu is in it. Shaila...Shy-la La-Boof. There. Hooked on FONICS worked for me! Anyway,I am looking forward to watching it v. soon.
Hope you and your things feel better soon. Ooh, 104? That sounds like the F word. Bleh.

I hope the things are feeling better soon!!!
Hubby and kids rented that movie last weekend, and I only caught part of it. Hubby laughed all the way through it, and I enjoyed what I caught of it:)
All time favorite movie was ummmm Undercover Blues with Dennis Quaid and Kathleen Turner. My granddaughter could watch that seventeen times in a row and still laugh. Actually, so do I.
PSS Feel better!
Went to see the new Beowulf. Acts one and two were horrible beyond belief. We almost walked out. To this day, I don't know why we stayed. But I'm glad we did because act three was brilliant.
Go figure.
Excellent blog.
